Rugby Training Academy
After following a comprehensive rugby curriculum, students should understand tactics and execution, individual core skills and positional play. The students will also be qualified and capable of coaching and refereeing school rugby up to club level.
We provide a safe, structured and disciplined environment, conducive to learning. All students must follow an appropriate tertiary education through UNISA, INTEC, E.T.A or Trifocus Fitness Academy. Students are supervised daily during academic sessions and given appropriate tutorial guidance and support.
This includes theory and practical sessions with individual evaluation, assessment of training and nutritional needs, training programs for all seasons and overall guidance.
Students will complete a World Rugby Level 1 coaching course. They will gain practical experience by coaching at local schools and assisting with coaching clinics. Students will also complete a Rugby Referees Level 1 course. These courses will qualify them to coach and referee up to club level.
These skills will be gained both informally and formally. Some of the many skills acquired include: Mental Toughness, Self Confidence, and Time Management
